Are you looking for flexible work within school catering? We are currently recruiting reliable and enthusiastic General Assistants and Commis Chefs to join our agency team, supporting schools across Braintree and the surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a busy kitchen environment and want hours that fit around other commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with basic food preparation
• Serving meals to pupils and staff
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene
• Washing up and keeping kitchen areas clean and organised
• Supporting chefs during service periods
• Following all health, safety, and safeguarding procedures

Requirements:

• Previous catering, hospitality, or kitchen experience is preferred
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Knowledge of food hygiene standards
• An Enhanced DBS certificate is preferred (or willingness to obtain one)
• Applicants without a current Enhanced DBS may still apply and be willing to obtain one
