General Food Service Assistant (Ad Hoc) - September Start

Location: Middlesbrough, Darlington and Redcar

Hours: 10:00am - 2:00pm, Monday to Friday

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

Contract Type: Ad Hoc / Temporary

About the Role

Working within school kitchens and dining areas, you'll help ensure pupils receive healthy, nutritious meals in a clean and welcoming environment.

Typical duties include:

• Assisting with food preparation and meal service
• Serving food and drinks to pupils and staff
• Setting up and clearing dining areas
• Washing pots, dishes, and kitchen equipment
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Supporting the catering team during busy service periods

What We're Looking For

• Previous catering, kitchen, or food service experience
• A positive and reliable attitude
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Excellent timekeeping and punctuality
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
