Healthcare Assistant

Spire Nottingham Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our ward team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Healthcare Assistant who is passionate about delivering excellent patient care and enjoys working as part of a supportive clinical team. You'll play a key role in helping patients feel comfortable, safe and cared for throughout their hospital stay, whilst working in a clean, modern and well-resourced environment.

Duties and responsibilities:

Working under the supervision of qualified nursing staff, you will help deliver a high standard of care to patients, ensuring their comfort, dignity and wellbeing are maintained at all times.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting patients with their individual care needs and day-to-day wellbeing
Assisting the nursing team in delivering high-quality patient care
Monitoring and reporting any changes in a patient's condition to the relevant clinical staff
Communicating effectively with patients, relatives and colleagues
Maintaining accurate patient records in line with hospital policies and data protection requirements
Helping to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming clinical environment
Supporting infection prevention and control practices across the department

Who we're looking for:

We're looking for a caring, compassionate and motivated individual who enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering excellent patient care.

You will have:

Previous experience working as a Healthcare Assistant within a healthcare setting
NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent experience)
Good understanding of basic nursing care
Basic awareness of health, safety and infection control practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A professional and patient-focused approach
Strong team working skills and a willingness to learn
English language proficiency to IELTS 7.0 standard
