Hours: Monday-Friday - Shift times Vary
Contract Type: Part time hours - Temporary
Pay rate: £12.21 - £14.00
Start date: September (start of the new school year)
About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our dedicated catering team. You'll play a vital role in helping prepare and serve nutritious meals, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with food preparation and basic cooking tasks
* Serve meals to pupils and staff in a polite and efficient manner
* Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining areas, and equipment
* Follow food hygiene and safety procedures at all times
* Support the cook and catering manager as needed
* Help with stock rotation and deliveries
Requirements
* A positive attitude and team spirit
* Good communication skills and a willingness to learn
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Basic understanding of food hygiene (training can be provided)
* Enhanced DBS check required (can be arranged upon offer if not already held)
