Neighborhood Services Assistant

We are looking for a Neighbourhood Services Assistant, you will provide administrative support to the neighbourhood's team including:


* The delivery of customer services in an efficient, effective, and caring manner to internal and external customers and partner agencies.
* Having knowledge of conditions of tenancy and assist with the administration of enforcing conditions of tenancy.
* Ensuring the effective management of systems to achieve the smooth operations of the neighbourhood's team.
* Supporting Neighbourhood Officers in meeting targets, deadlines and compliance.
* Managing small projects to support the work of the Neighbourhoods Team.
Responsibilities
* Ensure all enquiries received are dealt with professionally and in line with service standards.
* Assist and support the delivery of neighbourhood improvement plans.
* Assist in the delivery of ensuring customers adhere to their conditions of tenancy.
* Support the work of the neighbourhood's team and ensure processes are in place to achieve a coordinated approach to all the disciplines that fall under Housing & Neighbourhoods.
* Provide administrative support as required to other areas that fall under housing and neighbourhood's directorate.
* Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of services for example by identifying better ways of working, participating in projects and working organisation and being open to change.
* Work effectively within own team and equally to support a 'one team' approach within the housing and neighbourhood's directorate and wider within Citizen generally.
* Maintain up to date communications with partners and agencies to ensure productive working relationships that support the delivery of business objectives.
* Actively be part of the work that supports customer involvement and engagement with a view of creating safer neighbourhoods. Supporting the development of initiatives that add value to services and help achieve corporate and local objectives.
* Ensure systems are in place to support the effective management of budgets.
* All work to be undertaken in line with the organisations policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, Customer Involvement, Equality and Diversity and Safeguarding.
* Undertake any other duties commensurate with this post as reasonably requested by Neighbourhood Team Leader.
To fulfil the requirements of this role you will have experience, skills, and knowledge in the following areas:
* Ideally attain relevant qualification e.g. NVQ level 3.
* Ideally attain higher level education (post A level) or equivalent through relevant training/experience.
* Basic knowledge of social housing organisations and understanding of roles.
* Ideally have basic knowledge and understanding of the legislative and regulatory frameworks applicable to the social housing sector.
* Ideally have basic knowledge of Housing Tenancy Conditions and the processes involved in their enforcement.
* Ideally have experience of working for a housing service provider or similar role that demonstrates regular interaction with the public or other relevant experience.
* Experience of dealing with vulnerable customers, some of who may be demanding or under stress.
* Ideally hold current clean driving licence and have access to a car.
