School Caretaker

We are currently recruiting for a reliable, proactive, and skilled School Caretaker to help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Location: Redcar
Hours: Mon-Fri, 37.5hrs pw
Contract Type: Temp to perm
Rate: £13.85ph

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the school premises are clean, secure, and well-maintained.
• Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance tasks.
• Support with setting up rooms for school events and activities.
• Monitor heating, lighting, and alarm systems.
• Liaise with contractors and report any major issues to management.
• Ensure health and safety standards are upheld at all times.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
• Good practical skills and a hands-on approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
• Enhanced DBS check is essential (or willingness to obtain one prior to starting).
