Blue Arrow is proud to be working in partnership with a well-respected school in Alfreton, which is currently seeking a School Catering Assistant to support its busy kitchen team.

Due to the nature of this role, an Enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce) is required. If you do not currently hold a valid DBS certificate, we can assist the successful candidate with obtaining one (cost applicable).

Monday to Friday: 9:00am - 2:30pm

Pay Rate £12.71 per hour

Location Alfreton

Key Responsibilities

As a Catering Assistant, your duties will include:

• Assisting with the preparation and service of meals
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the kitchen and dining areas
• Serving food to students and staff in a friendly and efficient manner
• Handling meal payments and supporting the administration of free school meal entitlements
• Cleaning and resetting dining tables between sittings
• Following all health and safety and food hygiene procedures

Essential Requirements

• Enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce) or willingness to obtain one
• Ability to commit to ongoing part-time hours
• Previous catering, hospitality, or kitchen experience would be advantageous, although not essential
