Are you looking for flexible work in a friendly and rewarding environment? Blue Arrow is recruiting enthusiastic Catering Assistants to work in schools across the Wakefield area, helping to provide healthy and nutritious meals for pupils throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities

As a School Catering Assistant, you will:

• Assist with the preparation and serving of meals
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen and dining areas
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Assist with stock rotation, storage, and basic food preparation
• Provide excellent customer service to pupils, teachers, and school staff
• Follow food safety, allergen, and health & safety procedures at all times

What We're Looking For

• A positive, reliable, and hardworking attitude
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic food hygiene knowledge (training can be provided)
• Previous catering, kitchen, or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential
• An Enhanced DBS check is advantageous, although support may be available for suitable candidates
