Kitchen Assistant - School Hours (Wirral)

Pay: £12.21-£12.71 per hour

Hours: Monday-Friday, typically 10am-2pm or 10:30am-2:30pm

About the role

We're looking for friendly, reliable Kitchen Assistants to support school kitchens across the Wirral. This is a great opportunity to enjoy steady, daytime hours Monday-Friday-ideal for people looking for work that fits around family life or other commitments.

You'll be part of a welcoming school team, helping to prepare and serve meals, keeping the kitchen clean and organised, and supporting chefs during busy service times.

We also work with care homes and industrial kitchens, so there's plenty of opportunity to gain experience in different environments and meet new people along the way.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting food preparation
• Serving meals to students
• Pot washing and general cleaning
• Maintaining a safe, hygienic kitchen
• Working closely with chefs and other catering staff

What we're looking for

• Previous kitchen experience in the UK
• Availability Monday-Friday
• A positive, can‑do attitude
• Reliability and good teamwork skills
• Flexibility to pick up shifts when needed
• Desirable: Enhanced DBS, or willingness to complete one (children & adults)
