Catering Manager - School

Location: Cambridge

Salary: 40K

Contract: Full-time, 52 weeks (plus occasional weekends)

Are you passionate about delivering healthy, nutritious meals and creating a positive dining experience for young people? We are looking for an experienced Catering Manager to lead our school kitchen and catering team.

As Catering Manager, you will:

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the school kitchen.
• Plan and prepare balanced, appealing menus in line with nutritional standards.
• Manage stock control, ordering, and budgets effectively.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a small team of catering staff.
• Work closely with school leadership to support special events and initiatives.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience in catering management (school or similar environment preferred).
• Holds a Level 3 Food Safety qualification (or willing to achieve).
• Is highly organised, proactive, and able to manage budgets.
• Enjoys working in a busy environment and takes pride in delivering excellent service.

Qualification * Relevant qualification (for example, culinary or cookery) * Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate * GCSE level achieved in English and Maths or equivalent
