Wine Waiter / Sommelier

Location: Newbury, Berkshire

Contract: Full-time (45 hours per week)

Salary: £30,000+ per year + approx. £7,000 service charge

We are looking for a passionate Wine Waiter / Sommelier to join our client's team and elevate the guest experience. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional wine service, offering expert recommendations, and creating memorable dining moments.

• Provide professional wine and beverage service
• Advise guests on wine pairings and menu selections
• Upsell premium wines and beverages to enhance guest experience
• Maintain wine cellar and stock control
• Ensure service standards are consistently met

• WSET Certification (Level 1-3)
• Strong knowledge of wine pairing and drink service
• Excellent communication and upselling skills
• Professional, friendly, and detail-oriented approach

• 45 hours per week
• Two days off (Tuesday + one other day)
• Example shifts:
  • 12:00-23:00 (1-hour break)
  • 11:00-22:00 (1-hour break)
  • Sunday: 12:00-18:00
