Catering Assistant - Term Time Only

Location: Stafford

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 3:00pm (Term Time Only)

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

We're currently looking for Catering Assistants to work at a busy educational site in Stafford.

This role is ideal for anyone wanting part-time hours that fit around school runs, family commitments, or other responsibilities. You'll work during the day with evenings, weekends, and school holidays largely free.

Previous catering experience isn't essential. If you're reliable, hardworking, and happy to get stuck in, we'd like to hear from you.

An Enhanced DBS check is required for this position due to the working environment. If you don't currently have one, we can help you arrange this as part of the onboarding process.

Duties will include:

• Assisting with food preparation and serving meals
• Operating tills during busy service periods
• Clearing and cleaning tables and dining areas
• Receiving and putting away deliveries
• Washing dishes and keeping kitchen areas clean and tidy
• Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures
• Providing a friendly and professional service to staff and students

What we're looking for:

• Food Hygiene Level 1 certificate gained within the last 12 months
• Willingness to help with cleaning and general kitchen duties
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Clear communication skills
• Reliable and positive attitude
• Previous catering experience is helpful but not essential
