As Catering Manager, you will oversee the full catering operation, ensuring nutritious, appetising meals and excellent customer service while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and efficiency.
Food Safety & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with Food Safety, Allergen Management, and Health & Safety regulations.
- Lead HACCP processes, risk assessments, cleaning schedules, and due diligence checks.
- Investigate incidents and food complaints using root‑cause analysis.
- Promote a strong food safety culture across the department.
Team Leadership
- Manage, coach, and develop the catering team using internal training systems.
- Oversee rotas, holidays, and resource planning.
- Support recruitment, conduct team meetings, and foster a positive, collaborative working environment.
Commercial & Operational Management
- Control stock ordering, rotation, and waste reduction.
- Manage purchasing and invoicing through internal systems.
- Monitor food spend and ensure cost‑effective operation within budget.
Customer Experience
- Deliver efficient, friendly meal service for guests and colleagues.
- Support customers with medical dietary needs and liaise with group leaders or parents.
- Respond to feedback and maintain consistent service standards.
Centre Support
- Contribute to wider centre operations, including on‑call duties, emergency response, and cross‑departmental support as part of the senior team.
