Are you passionate about producing high‑quality food and creating memorable dining experiences? We're looking for a committed and creative Chef to join our busy kitchen team. Working closely with the Head Chef, you'll help deliver excellent meals, maintain high standards of food safety, and contribute to a warm, supportive working environment.
⭐ About the Role
Reporting to the Head Chef, you will:
- Prepare, cook, and present high‑quality food within budget.
- Produce meals that meet customer dietary requirements and menu standards.
- Ensure consistent food quality across all stages of production.
- Maintain rigorous hygiene, food safety, and quality control standards.
- Participate in HACCP procedures and follow Food Safety Management processes, including cleaning rotas and closing procedures.
- Support stock ordering and rotation when required.
- Help uphold a positive, collaborative kitchen environment.
You'll work 37.5 hours per week, across 5 shifts over 7 days, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as part of a rota.
While you do not need to hold a Christian faith, an understanding of and willingness to support the organisation's Christian ethos is essential.
⭐ What We're Looking For
- Experience as a Chef or in a similar kitchen role (1 year preferred).
- Ability to work flexibly as part of a rota.
- Commitment to high standards of food production and hygiene.
- A positive, collaborative attitude and willingness to uphold organisational values.
- Knowledge of the Christian, not‑for‑profit, charity, or education conference sector is beneficial but not essential.
