Chef - Contract Catering (Winchester)

£14.74 per hour - £30,900 per annum

What You'll Be Doing

Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to required standards, specifications, and portion sizes
Running your own section of the kitchen to consistently high levels
Ensuring all dishes meet strict food safety, hygiene, and client compliance standards
Following food information regulations and completing food safety checks
Supporting, training, and directing Commis Chefs and Kitchen Assistants
Recovering and storing food correctly to minimise waste
Assisting with food orders, stock rotation, delivery receipt, and storage
Maintaining a clean, safe kitchen and surrounding work areas
Ensuring all machinery and equipment is used correctly and safely
Carrying out general duties as required to support smooth and efficient food service

Who You Are

Passionate about cooking fresh, high‑quality food
Strong, consistent background as a Chef de Partie or similar
A good motivator and strong team player
Excellent culinary skills with outstanding attention to detail
Creative, with an awareness of modern food trends and presentation styles
Confident in all aspects of food hygiene, health & safety, and kitchen compliance
Self‑motivated, organised, and calm under pressure
Well‑presented with great communication and customer‑facing skills
Full UK driving licence required
Enhanced DBS required (must be willing to wait several weeks for processing)
