Our care home in Central New Milton is seeking a reliable and confident Part-Time Cook to join our team.
You will be responsible for independently preparing and cooking meals for 19 residents, ensuring high-quality, nutritious food is delivered every day.
Key Information
- Salary: £14.00 per hour
- Hours: 32 hours per week
- Working Days: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
- Shift Times: 8:00am - 4:00pm
- Location: Central New Milton
- Environment: Cooking alone in a friendly care home kitchen
Role Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present meals to an agreed standard for 19 residents
- Plan and manage daily meal production independently
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment
- Ensure dietary requirements and preferences are followed
- Manage stock rotation and basic ordering as required
Required Skills & Experience
- Previous experience working as a Cook or Chef, ideally in a care home or similar environment
- Ability to work independently and manage a small kitchen
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and allergens
- Good knowledge of ingredients and basic cooking methods
- Positive, dependable, and approachable manner
