About the Role
A prestigious private school in Oxford is seeking a talented and driven Chef de Partie to join its dedicated in‑house catering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate chef who thrives in a high‑quality, well‑organised kitchen and enjoys producing fresh, nutritious meals for pupils, staff, and guests.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and cook high‑quality dishes across various sections of the kitchen.
- Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in delivering a varied and seasonal menu.
- Ensure all food produced meets the school's standards for taste, presentation, and nutritional value.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and safety practices in line with school and statutory guidelines.
- Assist in stock control, ordering, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.
- Contribute to special events, functions, and catering for school activities.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis ready for the next step.
- Background in fresh‑food hospitality, contract catering, education, or similar environments.
- A passion for delivering high‑quality, child‑friendly dishes with creativity and consistency.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work positively within a team.
- A proactive, organised approach with high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Relevant food safety qualifications (Level 2 minimum; Level 3 desirable).
