We're recruiting on behalf of a well-respected care home in the Ashurst area of the New Forest, renowned for delivering outstanding care and hospitality to its residents.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Chef to join a friendly and supportive team, creating fresh, nutritious meals that make a genuine difference to residents' daily lives.

The Role

As Chef, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality meals for approximately 40 residents, ensuring food is nutritious, well-presented, and tailored to individual dietary requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and cooking fresh, seasonal meals
  • Assisting with menu planning and development
  • Catering for special dietary requirements and allergens
  • Supporting stock control and ordering processes
  • Maintaining high food hygiene and health & safety standards
  • Working closely with the wider care home team to ensure an exceptional dining experience
  • Helping maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen

About You

  • Previous experience as a Chef, Sous Chef, Senior Chef de Partie or similar
  • Passion for producing quality, home-cooked food
  • Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety regulations
  • Experience within care homes, healthcare, education, contract catering, hotels, pubs, or restaurants would be advantageous
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A caring and professional approach to food service
