Chef de Partie (CDP)
Hotel Restaurant - Christchurch
We are looking for a passionate and reliable Chef de Partie to join our well‑established kitchen team in a busy hotel restaurant in Christchurch.
The Role
As a CDP, you'll be responsible for running your section efficiently while maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency, and hygiene. You'll work as part of a supportive brigade in a fast‑paced but friendly environment.
What We Offer
- Salary: £29,741 - £32,000 per annum (DOE)
- Tips: Approximately £250 - £400 per month, dependent on business levels
- Hours: 45 hours per week (contracted)
- Shifts: Mix of split shifts and straight shifts
- Typical split: 11am-3pm / 6pm-10pm
- Team Size: 8 chefs currently in the kitchen
- Covers:
- Weekdays: 50-80 covers per day
- Weekends: 120-300 covers per day
- Location: Hotel in Christchurch
- Live-in: Not available
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis ready to step up
- Ability to work calmly under pressure during busy services
- Good knowledge of food safety and kitchen procedures
- A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Passion for fresh food and high standards
Responsibilities
- Running your section during service
- Supporting junior chefs and working closely with senior chefs
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in your area
- Ensuring consistent food quality and presentation
- Assisting with prep and service as required
