Spire Bushey Hospital have a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Governance quality and risk manager to join our governance department as a team lead on a full time basis.
The job holder's focus will be to ensure a safe service and provide leadership in the delivery of Spire Healthcare and Clinical Governance Strategies

Spire Bushey Hospital forms part of a 4 site portfolio, and is supported by and works alongside Spire Bushey Diagnostic Centre, Elstree Cancer Centre and Spire Pathology Centre. Our theatre team cover a wide variety of specialties including Ortho, Bariatric, General, Gyane, ENT, Urology, Plastics, Ophthalmics, Spinal.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Lead Hospital Governance and compliance activity within the hospital. - Monitor and co-ordinate investigations of adverse events occurring within the hospital in adherence to the PSIRF methodology / framework.
- Lead in clinical audit, promoting evidence based best practice.
- Assist in the development and dissemination of patient safety related information throughout all levels of the hospital.
- Lead in the development of methods and processes to aid the management of clinical risk.
- To engage with colleagues across the hospital in relation to policy management.
- Develop own knowledge and practice and assist others to develop.
- Work in such a way as to help promote a culture that actively improves clinical safety and quality.
- Monitor consultant information and co-ordinate reports to identify trends and support the practicing privileges review process.
- Manage document control and issue
- Responsible for management of complaints


Who We're Looking For
- Previous Team Management Experience and Clinical Governance experience
- Evidence of participation of audit activities : Lead in audit activities/clinical audit training
- Degree level education
- PSIRF training
- IOSH/NEBOSH accredited
- Proven track record of meeting deadlines and closing actions
- Experience of hosting/managing meetings
- Evidence of good organisational and administrative skills
- Competent to use the full range of Microsoft Office applications and willingness to learn Spire Healthcare systems including SAP and Datix/DCIQ.
- Able to meet deadlines and to co-ordinate a variety of activity threads simultaneously.
- Able to present data and information in a neat, professional and accessible manner that promotes the reputation of the business.
- A motivated self-starter who can work with initiative with minimal direction, able to develop ideas and translate them into workable systems.
