Hours of Work 0800 - 1400
Pay: £18.00 - £21.00 per hour
Are you an experienced Head Chef looking for flexibility and variety? We are seeking a talented and adaptable chef to join our relief team, supporting multiple educational establishments across Hampshire.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead kitchen operations across different educational sites, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality, nutritious meals tailored to educational settings.
- Manage stock, ordering, and kitchen staff effectively.
- Maintain allergen awareness and adhere to dietary requirements.
- Uphold health & safety and safeguarding standards at all times.
Must-Have Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a similar environment.
- Experience in cooking for children and understanding of school meal standards.
- Enhanced DBS with Child Workforce, dated within the last 12 months (or willingness to renew).
- Own transport and full UK driving licence - essential due to mobility between schools.
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (minimum).
- Strong knowledge of allergen management and HACCP.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to different kitchens and teams.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Desirable
- Previous experience in education catering.
- Knowledge of special diets and nutritional standards for schools.
