Head Chef, 4-Star Hotel - Southampton

£45,000 per annum + Bonus | Full-Time | 5 Days Out of 7

We are recruiting for an experienced Head Chef to take charge of the kitchen operation within an established 4-star, 50-60-bedroom hotel near Southampton.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Head Chef, or an ambitious Senior Sous Chef ready to step up, who enjoys a varied hotel operation and wants the autonomy to lead a kitchen team and make a real impact.

The hotel has a diverse food and beverage offering, including:

• Restaurant service
• Functions and events
• Afternoon teas
• Room service
• Spa catering
• A busy 5 out of 7 day hotel operation

The Role

As Head Chef, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation while managing the kitchen team effectively.

You will also oversee food costs, ordering, stock control, kitchen standards and food safety, while working closely with the wider hotel management team.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience within a hotel or similarly varied hospitality environment
• Strong kitchen leadership and team management skills
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• A passion for delivering consistently high-quality food
• Good understanding of food costs, stock management and kitchen compliance
• Someone who can bring fresh ideas and take ownership of the food operation

Package

Salary: £45,000 per annum + bonus

Location: Near Southampton, Hampshire

Hours: Full-time, 5 days out of 7

Live-in accommodation: Not available
