Salary: £50,000 to £55,000
Hours: 40 hours per week
Working Pattern: 7:30am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday with alternate weekend working
Overview
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Executive Chef to join a well-established residential care setting in Oxfordshire. This role is responsible for leading the delivery of a high-quality dining and hospitality service, ensuring residents receive nutritious, well-presented meals in a consistently professional environment.
The position sits within the senior team and plays an important role in maintaining service standards, supporting colleagues, and contributing to the overall resident experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the kitchen and hospitality function
- Plan, develop, and deliver varied menus that cater to a range of dietary requirements and preferences
- Ensure all meals are prepared and presented to a high standard
- Maintain full compliance with food hygiene, health and safety, and regulatory requirements
- Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships effectively
- Work within agreed budgets and support cost control measures
- Provide leadership, guidance, and ongoing development to the kitchen and hospitality team
- Support the planning and delivery of seasonal menus and occasional events
- Work collaboratively with wider teams to ensure a consistent and positive service for residents
About You
- Proven experience in a senior chef or kitchen leadership role
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, nutrition, and dietary requirements (including modified diets)
- Experience in menu planning within a care, hospitality, or similar environment
- Sound understanding of kitchen compliance, including food hygiene and safety standards
- Good organisational and financial awareness, including budgeting and stock management
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach
