A luxury hotel and spa situated in the beautiful New Forest is looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen brigade, overseeing the preparation, cooking and presentation of food to exceptional standards.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and passionate chef to take ownership of a successful kitchen, drive standards, inspire the team, and contribute to the continued success of a prestigious hospitality venue.

On top of a competitive salary of £40,000 - £44,000 per annum, there are excellent opportunities for career development and progression within the business.

Due to the remote location, own transport is highly desirable.

Main Duties and Responsibilities as a Head Chef will Include:

* Leading, motivating and developing the kitchen brigade

* Ensuring all food preparation and service meets the highest standards

* Managing food purchasing, stock control and kitchen budgets effectively

* Spec Menus

* Maintaining excellent food quality, consistency and presentation standards

* Ensuring effective portion control and minimising waste

* Managing staffing levels, rotas and kitchen training requirements

* Ensuring full compliance with food safety, health and safety, and hygiene legislation

What You Need To Be a Successful Head Chef:

* Previous experience as a Head Chef or experienced Senior Sous Chef ready to step up

* Experience within a quality hotel, restaurant or hospitality environment

* NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent professional chef qualifications

* Food Hygiene Certificate

* Strong leadership and people management skills

* Excellent communication and organisational abilities

* Experience managing kitchen budgets and GP targets

* Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
