Head Chef - York

Are you a skilled and passionate Head Chef looking for a rewarding role in meaningful settings? We're recruiting experienced Head Chefs to lead kitchen teams across Care Homes and Schools in York, delivering nutritious, high-quality meals to both adults and children.

📍 Location: York and surrounding areas
🕒 Hours: Full-time & part-time roles available
💷 Salary: Competitive, based on experience + benefits

🔐 DBS Requirement:

This role requires a current Enhanced DBS certificate covering both Adults & Children

What You'll Be Doing:

• Leading kitchen operations in care homes and school environments
• Creating and delivering balanced, appealing menus tailored to dietary needs
• Ensuring full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and allergen regulations
• Managing stock, budgets, and supplier relationships
• Supporting a positive kitchen culture and mentoring junior staff

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• Excellent knowledge of food safety and allergen management
• Flexibility to work across multiple sites in York
• Enhanced DBS for Adults & Children (essential)
