Job Opportunity: Chef de Partie / Sous Chef - Vibrant Bistro Pub/ Hotel in Didcot

A dynamic bistro pub located in the heart of Didcot, Oxfordshire, is currently seeking a passionate and skilled Chef de Partie or Sous Chef to join its talented kitchen brigade. This full-time, permanent position offers an exciting opportunity for a culinary professional eager to thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment focused on fresh, seasonal ingredients.

Location: Didcot, Oxfordshire

Salary: £28,000 - £34,000 per annum (commensurate with experience)

Live-In Accommodation: Available at just £75/week

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality dishes that reflect the pub's bistro-style menu. Working closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team, they will contribute to smooth service, uphold consistent standards, and offer creative input into seasonal specials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook dishes to a high standard across all sections
• Assist in the development of menus and daily specials
• Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
• Ensure full compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
• Support junior team members and foster a positive kitchen culture

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, dependable, and bring energy and creativity to the kitchen.

• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Sous Chef
• Strong grasp of modern British and bistro-style cuisine
• Excellent knife skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple tasks
• Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset
• Food hygiene certification (Level 2 or higher preferred)
