A well-established and highly successful restaurant in Christchurch is seeking a talented Sous Chef to join its growing kitchen team. With trade stronger than ever and business remaining consistently busy throughout the week, we're looking for a hands-on chef who can support the Head Chef in leading service and maintaining high culinary standards.
As Sous Chef, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the kitchen, assisting with staff management, maintaining food quality standards, and ensuring smooth service operations.
You'll work alongside an experienced team that takes pride in preparing food from fresh ingredients rather than relying heavily on pre-made products. This is an excellent opportunity for a chef who enjoys being involved in all aspects of the kitchen and is passionate about producing quality food.
During the summer months, we do not offer breakfast service, meaning operations focus on lunch and dinner, creating more manageable working days and a better work-life balance than many hospitality environments.
With the beautiful weather bringing visitors to Christchurch in large numbers, we're exceptionally busy throughout the week, not just at weekends. As we continue to grow, we're investing in our kitchen team and looking for a Sous Chef who wants to be part of a professional, friendly and successful operation.
