DBS Requirements

Certain assignments, particularly within schools, nurseries, and care environments, require a valid Enhanced DBS Certificate covering Child Workforce, Adult Workforce, or both. The certificate must either be registered with the DBS Update Service or have been issued within the last 12 months.

Applicants who do not currently hold a DBS certificate must be willing to complete the necessary checks through Blue Arrow. Please note that charges apply for new DBS applications.

The Role

As a Sous Chef, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards within busy kitchen teams by:

• Preparing and cooking fresh meals to client specifications
• Following food safety, hygiene, and allergen regulations
• Assisting with stock control and ingredient management
• Supporting Head Chefs during service periods
• Ensuring dishes are presented to a consistently high standard
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment

About You

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or experienced Chef within a professional kitchen
• Sound knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen compliance standards
• Food Hygiene qualification beneficial but not essential
• Flexible and dependable approach to work
• Ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced environment
• Strong team player with the ability to work independently when required
• Own transport is advantageous due to multiple site locations
