Sous Chef - Contract Catering (Term Time Only)
Location: Fordingbridge
Hours: 44 hours per week
Weeks per year: 46.5
Pay: £17.00 per hour
Days Off: Wednesday & Sunday
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Sous Chef to join our contract catering team in Fordingbridge. This is a term‑time only position, offering great work-life balance while still providing full-time hours. You'll support the Head Chef in delivering fresh, high‑quality meals in a friendly, professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
- Prepare and cook high‑quality dishes in line with menu requirements
- Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards
- Assist with ordering, stock rotation, and basic administrative tasks
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused working environment
Working Hours
- Monday: 7:00am - 3:00pm
- Tuesday: 7:00am - 3:00pm
- Thursday: 7:00am - 3:00pm
- Friday: 10:00am - 7:00pm
- Saturday: 7:00am - 7:00pm
- Wednesdays & Sundays: OFF
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready to step up
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced catering environment
- Strong understanding of food safety and allergen management
- A team player with a great attitude and high standards
