Step Up Into a Senior Kitchen Role

We're looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join a busy and established hospitality operation on the outskirts of Southampton.

This opportunity would suit a current Sous Chef looking for a fresh challenge or a strong Chef de Partie ready to progress into a more senior position. Experience within branded restaurants, hotels, leisure venues, pubs, or high-volume catering operations would be highly advantageous.

With a structured kitchen operation, supportive management team, and a quieter festive period, this role offers excellent stability and work-life balance.

The Role

Working closely with the Head Chef, you'll help oversee the day-to-day running of the kitchen and support a team of:

• 5 Chefs
• 2 Kitchen Porters

The venue can serve up to 200 covers on busy days, with weekend breakfast services often being the busiest periods.

Food is supplied from head office and regenerated to specification, making this an ideal role for chefs who have worked within branded or process-driven kitchen environments and understand the importance of consistency, organisation, and delivering high standards.

Working Hours

Shifts are worked on a rota basis:

🌅 6:00am - 2:00pm

🌙 1:30pm - 10:00pm

We're Looking For

• Previous Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie experience
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Experience working in branded, hotel, leisure, or high-volume catering environments
• Sound understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations
• Ability to lead by example and support junior team members
• A positive, hands-on approach to service
