Sous Chef Opportunity - Premium Hospitality Venue (Near Lyndhurst)

We are seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at a well-established hospitality venue located near Lyndhurst, in the heart of the New Forest. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate chef looking to develop their career within a quality-driven environment, working alongside an experienced Head Chef and a supportive team.

The Role

As Sous Chef, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef in delivering exceptional food standards while helping to lead and inspire the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting with the management of all kitchen operations
Supporting the creation and delivery of seasonally inspired menus
Helping to manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships
Ensuring food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards are maintained
Assisting with the training and development of junior kitchen staff
Leading the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
Maintaining consistently high standards across all service periods

What's on Offer

Salary: £33,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Working Pattern: 5 days out of 7

Hours: Approximately 45 hours per week (mixed shifts)

About You

We are looking for a Sous Chef who:

Has previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong experience as a Senior Chef de Partie ready for the next step
Is passionate about fresh, seasonal ingredients and high-quality food
Thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Demonstrates strong leadership and communication skills
Is organised, reliable, and quality-focused
Works well as part of a team and leads by example
