Salary: £15.00 per hour (45 hours per week)

Equivalent Salary: £35,100 per annum

We are looking for a passionate and reliable Sous Chef to join our busy and well-established pub and restaurant team. This is an excellent opportunity for a chef who enjoys working with fresh food in a fast-paced environment and wants to be part of a friendly, supportive kitchen brigade.

You'll be joining a team of 6 chefs, helping to deliver high-quality food to a loyal customer base and a consistently busy operation. We serve approximately 400 covers on a Sunday, with 200-300 covers throughout the week, making this an ideal role for someone who thrives under pressure while maintaining excellent standards.

✅ £15.00 per hour with a guaranteed 45-hour contract

• £35,100 salary package, or
• Hourly paid employment, allowing you to benefit from additional hours during the busy summer months and enjoy a better work-life balance during quieter winter periods

The Role

As Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring food quality, consistency and service standards are maintained at all times. You will help lead and motivate the team, assist with stock control and ordering, and play a key role in maintaining a positive kitchen culture.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie looking to step up
• Passion for fresh food and high standards
• Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a busy kitchen
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A positive attitude and willingness to lead by example
